Chrome For Android Released By Google

Google has come up with a beta version of its Chrome browser for Android. The step is seen as an important one as it integrates two Chrome For Androidof Google’s most important project. What’s better is the fact that the new browser, is available in the Android market so that people do not have to wait for handset makers to offer it through an OS system upgrade.

Features of Chrome For Android

Chrome for Android includes the V8 JavaScript engine of V8 of the desktop version. It also boasts of gesture based controls for moving across multiple tabs and it synchronizes with the desktop version of Chrome. It also shuts out plug-ins which includes Adobe System’s Flash Player and Google’s own native client. Google believes that with its performance and features Chrome for Android will help people to use mobile web.

Chrome for Android is available in Beta from the Android Market in selected countries and languages for phones and tablets running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With the release of Chrome for Android, Google is will be able to compete with third-party browsers which are there in the market including from Opera and Mozilla. Download Chrome for Android

It was about time!It’s really important to be able to sync the desktop browser with the mobile version .But I guess it doesn’t have extensions.

This is why firefox will win on mobile. Google is afraid (or stupid, or evil, I dunno doesn’t matter) of extensions.

But I’d bet money it’s not that far unrelated from this 😀 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/mobile/addon/adblock-plus/

I for one am looking forward to be able to launch my own insane extensions on mobile/tablets … bwahahahaha.

Hi, on the pc version of chrome . I was able to install a plug in called pop up attribute . This enabled the browser to read text tags hidden in photos. So far i have not been able to get the android equivalent . Can you help? Many thanks , Simon
