Robust security has been the hallmark of Chrome and Google has taken yet another step in this direction. It has come up with an open-
source tool for Chrome browser called DOM Snitch. The software is a Chrome extension on an experimental basis which helps developers to know websites that execute malicious code on computers. The extension sees the execution of web site code and that if commands could lead to attacks to deliver malware on computers.
Observation Of DOM Changes In Real Time
With the help of this tool, web developers can see DOM changes in real time without the need to analyze JavaScript with a debugger. In a blog post Radoslav Vasilev, Google’s security test engineer said that the extension allows developers to get to know about insecure practices.
When a security vulnerability is found then the interface highlights activity logs in red. When the bugs are less severe in the nature than the activity logs are highlighted in yellow, green or grey. Improving the security of the web medium is one of the most important business tools for Google and still a lot of work in this regard needs to be done. The extension is in the alpha stage and needs to be developed further.
