Google is known for testing out several features in its Chrome browser. The search engine giant is now testing ClearSiteData API in Chrome which
is the latest flash cookie removal tool of Adobe. Google is testing the ClearSite Data API in the developer preview channel and if the tests are successful then it will be incorporated in the Beta channel.
Local Deletion Made Easier With ClearSite Data API
If Chrome is implemented with ClearSite Data API then it will facilitate deletion of local data. Notably API has been incorporated by Adobe in Flash Player 10.3. Because of this, Flash Local Shared Objects (LSOs) can be directly deleted from the browser. In order to remember the preference of a user, LSOs are cookies used by Flash which can be used by someone else for advertising.
Notably software giant Microsoft had announced earlier this week that if users using Internet Explorer 8 or 9 who have installed Flash 10.3 can delete Flash cookies by using Delete Browsing History feature in the browser. If ClearSite Data API gets implemented in Chrome then it will result in better security and services of the browser.
