Google Chrome Service Pages Give Faster Access to Settings

by S.Roy on June 10, 2013

While those with a leaning towards under-the-hood stuff can easily access the internal Chrome settings pages such as Chrome://flags, it can be difficult for the average Joes and Janes to remember their names. This is where the “Service pages for Google Chrome” extension proves to be useful. It stores the names of every service page in the browser in a menu and saves your time in looking for them every time you need them.

All you have to do is install the extension in your Chrome browser. Once you have set it up, simply click the gearbox icon to display a dropdown menu of every service page of Chrome. The menu shows the names of the usual stuff such as Settings, Extensions and Experiments as well as that of many other pages like chrome://sync-internals and chrome://memory-redirect that show details about the sync capabilities of the browser and the amount of RAM consumed by each open tabs respectively.

Some of these pages are not needed or deprecated in the Chrome configuration. Naturally, not all of these links would actually work for you. In the extension settings of your browser, you can disable those bookmarks that you do not use too often. When you wish to use it, all you have to do is enable it.

You can check out the official Chrome web store link to install this handy extension onto your browser.
