I noticed google chrome allowing the download of an mp3 file [pop.mp3].
I checked the folder if it really downloaded the file and it did.
I wasn't able to check it if it was a virus though. deleted it right away.
If it happens again, i'll check if it was a virus or something else.

It probably has something to do with embeds..can't say for sure though never had it happen.

MP3s do not contain executable code, so a virus being in one is very unlikely, and only possible by buffer overflowing in a specific player (would not be able to target multiple players unless they used the same engine).
