Default browser "captured" by a website

Hi everyone,

Chrome is my favouritest browser and it would be even more so if it was able to prevent websites from "capturing" it. You know when you can't go back to the previous page.

I read that it can be done in two ways: a. website redirects you to another page and when you go back it does it again b. website deletes browsing history and browser doesn't know where to go to.

If Chrome was able to prevent websites from doing so it would be 1337.

Cheers

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Could you give an example of such a website (URL)?

If when you press back it redirects you, you need to either double click back to go back two sites or right click back and select an earlier page.

One of the examples:

And thanks for the right-click trick.

The reason I had asked for an URL is that I have never-ever had this problem, but, I always right-click back for going back...

It happens a lot with malicious sites and some weird porn sites according to a movie I saw about the porn industry trapping children. (lol Lifetime)
Anyway, Browses usually have "Disallow meta redirect" and "Disallow JavaScript redirect" options for this kind of thing. Chrome could definitely use those.
Or you know, some super fancy analysis engine for it like Google and party always seem to come up with for stuff.
