Unhappy Chrome becoming slow with facebook

AS suggested in one of the other threads i have upgraded my chrome to dev channel using chrome channel chooser. But after doing so chrome seems to hang quite frequently while using facebook. Is there some solution to this.
Also u cant see the various tabs that have been opened once in fullscreen mode. Can that be changed?

I'm on the latest version of Chrome (2.0.173.1) and not having any problems with Facebook

Seems to defeat the whole object of having 'full screen' if you want to see tabs.

Your only one click away from seeing your tabs (F11)

The 'normal' view is pretty well uncluttered anyway compared to other browsers !!

    Afraid I can't help you there ...

I'm on Vista Premium SP1, wouldn't have thought that would make much difference ...

Hello, just found this site after searching for reasons why Facebook hangs in Chrome. So I am having these problems too. It is not the internet connection, as other websites load fine in Chrome. Also not Facebook, as it loads perfectly normally in FF.

I had a similar problem yesterday with another website though, slow/stopped in Chrome, loaded elsewhere. I deleted all cookies / cache stuff (ccleaner) and that seemed to do the trick. Will try again now, but seems a bit annoying.

    Anyone else with this problem?

    Hi,
I am having the same issue. Since they made the change in Google Chrome facebook is not loading completely. It keeps trying to load and only loads part of the page and the little circle just keeps circling. It is working fine for Zynga games, but is still taking a little longer to load....thank you for your time! I am running

Same issue here. Found this site as the second listing when searching Google for "facebook hangs on chrome".

I'm running Chrome Dev Chanel (current release as of this post) on Win 7 x64.

The problem is probably caused by cookies or some other form of cached content. Since Chrome creates preloaded Safe Browsing Journals for each site you visit, one of these may cause the slowness. I ran into the same issues others reported here. You can repeat my test.

Open a new incognito window and attempt to go to the facebook site. I think you'll find it loads without a problem. This shows that the slow loading was actually caused by saved data on the user's PC, as the Incognito mode essentially runs without touching and cached cookies or files.

I recommend deleting deleting all saved content on the local user's PC and retry. should clear up the issue.

Hey no need to worry now. The ad-blocking extension "Adblock Plus" is now available for Google Chrome and can be downloaded from https://chrome.google.com/extensions...ibdccddilifddb
