Chromeplugins webpage not displaying properly

I am not sure if this is a BUG bug, but it is visually irritating. The Chromeplugins.org webpage has image elements. When I open the page in Firefox 3, the images and the text look nice, in a single column, with a side-area on the right side with links etc. But when seen in Chrome, all the images are overlapping the the text on the right side column. I have included a screenshot to show what I mean.

Can this be resolved? Or is there some setting that I can perhaps change?

Thanks for making me aware of this, what screen resolution are you currently running?

I'm running 1680x1050 and this does not occur so i didn't know the layout was breaking like that. I've performed a few Webkit related hacks on the site and forum to ensure Chrome compatibility, but it looks like i need to do a few more.

I wish I had that high resolution!! Unfortunately, my laptop screen maxed out at 1280x800... but I don't know why that should be a problem, because it shows up fine in Firefox at the same resolution... Perhaps one needs to have the images at relative co-ordinates, rather than absolute ones? I mean, image width as a % rather than absolute pixel value?
(I may be talking through the back of my neck completely. If so, I apologize!)

It's not vital to browsing, but its still not how it should be.

No it's ok, you're not talking out the back of your neck.. I understand what you mean. :D

The usage of a pixel value is Wordpress behavior when adding images to posts, however after you pointed this out to me i went back over the site in Chrome at a lower resolution and found this behavior is not limited to images. When i have used long paths in block quotes such as:

Firefox and IE wrap it to the next line, but Chrome extends it beyond the column like it does with the image.

Optimizing layouts for Webkit quirks is something i've never really dealt with until now, looks like i've got some reading to do. :cool:

Thanks Jonathan for the screenshot, it's interesting YouTube is having similar issues. I will take a look at their code for future reference also.
