    Default downloading files

My problem came up when i first tried to download a file from a gaming site i use. It is halomaps.org and i could not download the maps because it didn't bring up a downloader and just took me to a page that did not exist. Is there a downloader i have to get as along with chrome?

i believe I have the same problem as you so I will try to make what is happening clearer.

Recently when I tried downloading things, even small files, chrome has started downloading at about normal speed but then would quikly deteriorate and eventually download of a rate like 3B/s and have an ETA of 6 hours. I have exited chrome and started back up to try again but then it either wont follow the link or doesn't show that it is downloading at all and does not appear on the downloads page. But if I press the link multiple times (say out of frustration) it asks if I would like to download multiple files.

My internet explorer and firefox have been downloading fine so I'm pretty sure it is chrome that is the problem.

I have windows vista with service pack two and i experienced this problem on Chrome 2.something and the new Beta release.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank You

No joy, I had just reinstalled Chrome anyway to try and fix the problem.

Problem solved, just updated to windows 7 and there were no more problems so I guess it was a vista problem.
