Default IE Click When Closing a Tab

I just started getting the infamous IE click sound whenever I close a tab in Chrome. Never has happened before, just now started / noticed. It has definitely not always been that way.

Haven't been doing anything abnormal.. Visiting the same work related sites I always do... so I don't think its some adware, spyware, whateverwhere.. but it seems to be the only logical explanation.

Help. I hate IE so much. I get a bit queasy when I close a tab now :-(

I would like to bump this thread up, because the same problem is now happening on my computer. Have you found a solution to the problem yet, AromaKat? Does anyone else possibly know what's going on here?

I ran a full AVG scan, which removed a bunch of adware / spyware etc and that fixed the problem.
