This isn't so much a bug as a feature request I guess. Like many users, I often have a lot of tabs open, and its fantastic to be able to close chrome and have them reopen next time I run chrome.
At my university, whenever I open chrome with a ton of tabs, they all get replaced with a logon page for my university. That in itself is fine, but whether I log in, or don't log in and close chrome instead, those tabs are lost for good. Some of them I can click back, but most of my tabs were new tabs and so I can't click back.
I'll be asking my uni's IT services if there's anything I can do about it, but they'll probably tell me to use internet explorer (sigh).
It sure would be swell if chrome could detect a redirect of this sort upon reopening tabs, and ensure that if they are then closed and reopened again, they go to the unredirected page (ie, I've gone home from uni and reopened my tabs again).
The only workaround I can think of other than single tabbed browsing is to use a different browser at uni![]()
