I began using Chrome around May. I pay my bills online and always save the confirmation as HTML only.
When I use the Save As dialog, I find the most recent document and select it, then change the date in the filename. I had been noticing that the previous month's filename wasn't showing up like I was used to when using Explorer to do this, but I just figured it was saving as .htm.html or something funky and ignored it until this month.
I went out to find the doc/html I just saved and it wasn't there--nor were the others I had saved for this bill since using Chrome. However, my monthly water bills were saving OK.
So, I did a search for all files on local drive using a portion of the name of the missing file. It returned with all of the old files, but only broken "shortcut" links in the "Recent" folder (see top of attached bmp).
The file whose name contains date "2009-04-02" is the one I've been selecting using Chrome in the Save As dialog.
There are also two related references to locations labeled "My Computer" having Explorer icons next to them--I haven't got a clue what this is about (see bottom of attached bmp). I also have not been using Explorer since installing Chrome.
I cannot see a reference anywhere in this page to the BMP file I just uploaded, so I guess I better give you the filename just in case: "Screenshot of Missing document saved in chrome.bmp"
