Hi,

one of the problems I noticed was that when I'm watching a video in the browser and using some other application, I get slowdowns on the video. I frequently watch videos while working on my computer. I have two monitors and it works fine on other browsers(I have IE, Firefox, Opera). I really like Chrome and I hope this will be fixed in the future.

Also, it would be nice to implement some sorta mouse gesture plugin. Thanks!

It's possible Chrome is updating the Malware list in the background which consumes bandwidth and does some fairly extensive disk writes, this may result in a slowdown if your multi-tasking.. It would be especially noticeable the lower spec PC you have.

You could try temporarily disabling the Malware update and see if it improves things. This thread has some related info:

Also mouse gestures will come, we just need to wait for the API.

yeah, they will have to compress (if it's not already) the data or use throttling (if it's not already) to avoid bandwidth performance decrease. Yeah, on slower connections and computers this might be a problem.
