@pfil - actually what i thought was like, you can upload the theme there chromethemes.org, create a thread here for that theme which can act as support thread for the theme, with the links pointing to ChromeThemes.org (for download).. This way you can track the downloads for the theme easily.. Also, since it would go to a themes gallery i think it would be displayed in a much better way..

Regarding the process -> well i think its just you need to click on Submit Theme, Fill up the details, upload image and file and send it for approval.. The reason why i made in on wordpress was that most "developers" mainly extension developers were very adept in wordpress so i thought maybe it shall be good..?

Are they? Wordpress is meant for blogs, not file sharing.
I for one had never used it before chromeextensions.org
But yeah a better uploader for that would be really really nice. Also if we didn't have to wait for approval cause that takes so long. :/ That's why I uploaded my latest ext at the Google repo, cause I didn't want to have to wait multiple days for it to be accepted before I could start the thread here.

I for one don't mind them being on another domain though. Just a nicer uploader would be great, and profile manager in general..

When I do a search how do I get to see the exact post containing my search subject. Right now, I'm only managing to get the thread. I guess if I go out of the forum and search "site:www.chromeplugins.org stylish", where I want to find posts containing the word "stylish", I'd get what I want. But can this be done using the forum search itself?

Goto Advanced Search -> Search Single Content Type, then at the bottom you can select "Show results as: Posts"

I already am on 4.0.4 PL1 and I sorted the issues out by manual file edits =|
