    Default Extensions Project Home - Repository

    Hi,

    I know by seeing the thread you might be thinking.. Ahh no not again! Well the system is finally all done. Just 1-2 things are left but ready for a test by some extensions developers in case they find any issues with it..

    I need 2-3 extensions developer or Sr. Members to PM me and give me their Yahoo or MSN or Gmail ids and i would be giving them a demo of the entire system by which they can add a new extension, update an extension with another version. and so on..

    I am pretty much excited about this and i am sure with that we can provide some sort of a stable platform to Extension Developers along with nice looking project home.

    Some other things needed:

    List of Categories in which an extension can be divided : At present there are not enough extensions to divide them in categories, but we would be doing that on our repository.. So if any of member(s) can give a list of existing extensions on our forum along with the name of the category that should be in it would be really appreciated.

    Extensions Liscenses : I need to know all sort of liscenses which an extension developer might be willing to use. For example : Creative Commons, GPL etc.. Also please let us know what should be there in each of the liscenses.. Any live link or something we can copy the matter from?

    I hope some of our trusted members contact me as soon as possible and help to get this system lauched.

    For a start, I think the Developers deserve some sort of recognition for their extensions and their contributions;
    How about a special member's group for them?

    Next would be a PM to all of them requesting for suggestions; afterall they would be in a better position to offer classifications for their extensions

    (and I am simply a computer user)

    @sulasno : yeah that would be a nice option to create a membergroup in the forum and manually elevate/select the members based on their contributions to that group.. So what should that group be called?

    Developers Clan ?

    Are the themes posted in the repository gonna have to be in an extension format or can they be in the .dll format?

    Well the themes in the repository would need to be in an extensions format. So .dll format themes cant be put there.. I mean its not that it cannot be included at all in .dll format but i guess since the themes are "officially" supported in .crx format only so it would be wise to stick to that on such a repository..
