@Chrome Admin or a Moderator; It seems these posts are nothing but spam to promote their sites, ie., China Cell Phones and Electronic Dictionary. Could these kinds spam posts be removed please? I don't use other forums any more precisely because of the constant growth of this kind of rubbish.

And as some members obviously know a lot about page ranking and such, perhaps you could tell me how this works... I found a post somewhere about how sites increase their page ranking by having pages full of crap which search engines like Google pull aprt and use as keywords. One page on the Electronic Dictionary site linked to above contains this nonsense;

Complete and utter rubbish, and surely if the translators they're selling work then they could have translated the pages correctly. Nothing but a spam site trying to up its ranking. These idiots just never stop.

A good rule I've seen elsewhere is a complete ban on any links in signatures which go to sites selling something. Do it once, instant ban and account removal. Works well.

ban on signatures is not advisable; but sometimes I do remove the sigs of spammers;
I am a very tough moderator and have not hesitated in banning spammers

Good to hear, Sulasno. Chrome Admin has been gracious enough to let me moan about advertising and show people how to block it all, even though he/she has ads on this site, but spammers really are idiots trying to make money off the hard work of others. I read somewhere that some are even paying poor Third World folks a pittance to sit and spam all day long. If it's true, it's very, very sad.

Boot the spammers or remove their spam site links. Be Spartan with their asses!
