It would indeed be nice ...
But in my experience there are not too many people, who having being provided with a solution to their problem/issue have the common courtesy to say THANK YOU !!
Most of the time, if they found a solution, they just stop posting...not even sharing with the community here...
thats how it is..., if someone finds the answer, they dont feel the need to share it.
When ever i find the answer to something, I will always go everywhere I posted the question, and give an update as-to how i solved my problem.
Simply for the fact that someone else will very likely be lost, and stumble into my post, saving them Hours of work
But realize, pressing a thank you button is a lot less work than typing out a thank you post. People may very well be more inclined to thank the person when it's that simple.

true, and im not saying its a bad thing XD, i just wish people were more courtious, and not just with thanks, cause i could care less about those... but i keep track of every forum ive ever posted on (and i often do register to post 1-2 comments), nice and neatly catagorized in a text doc...
so if i find the answer to any of the questions, either on any of those forums, or somewhere else entirely, i update all those forums with my newfound sollution..
i mean its the internet, so a little thanks doesnt really get you anything, but the time it takes you to type up the answer to the question you spent days trying to solve, should really be shared..
