this was enjoyable to get this morning in my email account:
    Dear p.fil,

Its been a long time since i emailed our members at Google Chrome Forums. We have seen a period of inactivity on your part on the forum.
while i understand you were sending out a group email, you should really worry about the speed/bandwidth of this site and then retaining a consistent audience . it's myself, jedi knight, sul and a couple others that are keeping this site alive . try a tad bit of tactfulness next time, chrome .
For the record: Hello Kitty and Naruto Themes are the suck .

Actually, since i had initially selected only members who have less than 2 posts on the forum, but due to some issues (on my part) the emails were not sent out.. So i again tried to send the email and "by mistake" forgot to put in the condition there, as a result baring a few usergroups all the members received this email (including me)..

I got your email this morning - thank you, Chrome

I too am finding the forum very slow - almost all links result in a time-out and several tries are needed to get where I'm going

Just a thought - www.digitalspy.co.uk seems to run on the same "base" as this forum, and I've noticed for several weeks that they've become very slow (not quite as slow as ChromePlugIns, though). I'm wondering if there's a connection?

    Good luck,

    clemenzina

Yes the forums are a bit slow, i got some other sites as well which are on this server and offlate a few of them have started using a lot of CPU resources..

So its slowing down the entire thing.. I would work with the server admin and see if this issue can be sorted out without moving the other sites..

I come to this site specifically for the great themes (Jedi). As of late the loading of this site is pitifully slow.
I received an e-mail today which was kind of condescending and presumptuous in nature, because of my inactivity in posting. I don't need to be reprimanded, so here is a post to keep everyone in charge happy.

Apparently you have put your energy in fixing the load time. The site loads fine now.
Hopefully, these two posts of mine will really cancel out the "inactivity" level of your members.
