I don't know the answer to your question but once an app has been made portable, you can get it from portableappsdotcom and install it anywhere. I understand that the Chromes we get from Google directly don't allow this.
There are a couple of drawbacks to the portable version, one being that the updater is excluded so you'll miss out on upgrades until the next "stable" release has been made available by the guys at portableapps. The other is that dev/betas versions aren't usually converted to portable versions.

@vasa1
I think you are confusing Chome (the browser) and Chrome OS (the operating system)
Which do you mean?
You are right. I posted without realising that. Sorry!
In edit:
On second thought, ... the version number seems to resemble that of the browser. So maybe OP meant the browser??? Plus much of what I gather on the net refers to the OS in the future tense!
In further edit: The title of the thread and the contents of the first post need to be reconciled. The Title refers to 6.427 whereas the first post refers to 6.0.427 (which incidentally is a number of a browser version). And then the whole thread maybe moved to the browser section.

I wouldnt brag on it since you could build it for less than a grand. Youre gonna pay 1600 bucks to someone for spending 3 hours to put it together.Considering all the BS that your paying extra for you dont need, thats about 200 bucks in totally worthless PC care and shipping, that makes labor for 3 hours of putting it together somewhere around 400 bucks an hour!
The end result on top of it all is your paying for a top of the line PC and not coming close to getting one. Sounds like a good screwing all the way around

well do they have like a wireless version of a usb cable cuz the problem is that both my pc and ps3 are in the same room and i want to connect them w/ usb to transfer files but to do it w/ usb i'd have to put the long cable thru my closet and go around stuff which is annoying since i already have a whole bunch of other wire all around
im thinkng the solution is if they have a wireless dongle or something i couldput on both my ps3 and pc so they could transfer files wirlessly w/ each other
if such a thing exists a link would be appreciated
