Default Google Chrome OS Engineer Leaves Google To Join Facebook

I thought i would like to share it with you guys..

The key engineer behind Chrome OS, Matthew Papakipos, will be leaving the search giant and join Facebook's engineering team.It does not comes as a surprise as there were already rumours earlier that Facebook, which is striving to increase its presence across the internet would be trying to get some personnel from other companies. It is not yet clear what would be the role of Papakipos at Facebook, although his main presence is in web graphics.

What say guys? I guess google should pull up its socks and try to stop this 'brain drain' maybe? Only 3 months left for Chrome OS to be launched..

To be honest, this surprised me. Usually people get upset with Mark Z.'s and Facebook's policies and leave. Or like the ipod/iphone app engineer when he got mad about their policies he left to another part of Facebook. Also I thought Google did laundry or something for their employees and you get paid good, so why would someone leave Google. Really? 3 months? Time goes by fast, I still remember the Google IO presentation I watched of them first announcing it.

Also, posts like these should become blogs. Is there a wp plugin or something that simply front pages posts. And yes I know forum that has this.
