Good read, thanks for the link. I think Chrome OS will just come with Chrome installed, and you can install other broswers.

Chrome OS has been mentioned several times in Chromium browser changelog
But my impression of the article of Sarah Perez is that she havn't spent much time researching, when she mention the need to install FF for extension or grease monkey support.. As this is (at least at the time of release of Chrome OS) supported by Chrome browser..
Further I can't see why she would expect other browser to be able to install (of cause you can when it's linux, one way or another), but Chrome OS will for sure be bases on living in the 'Clouds' so the OS will sort of be equal to the Chrome browser in this case.. It needs Chrome browser so Google Gears is supported so it will survive living without internet..
As you know, not a 'teckie' and don't venture anywhere near changelogs or anything like it !!
Will be interesting to see what happens if Google package Chrome with the OS, if you consider the battle Microsoft is currently having with its insistence on bundling IE with Windows ...
