I just wanted to make you aware of the "AdBlock" chrome extension, which I think at this point might be the leading contender for the go to chrome ad blocking extension.

This extension's author is constantly releasing new versions and conversing with users in the "User Reviews" area. I think the UI is pretty slick, but that is of course up to each user to decide.

Ad blocking in chrome won't be as good as adblock plus in firefox, until privacy blacklisting(content policy) is made available, but if any extension is going to make the most of this upcoming browser feature, it's probably this one.
