Hi Pman. Permissions are just extension related issues, quite minor really, though they seem major when you can't get one to work.

To stop such problems you're best changing to the Dev (development) version of Chrome. It's pretty stable nowadays, is faster than the 'stable' and 'beta' versions, and allows some things that the others won't. I'm very picky about what I run, as it really annoys me when things go wrong, but with this Dev version you'll be fine. The version number is 4.0.249.4 - the latest Google have released.

By the way, while my explanation is rather long, the actual process of installing and using Proxomitron is really very easy. Once you do, adverts are a thing of the past, and Proxomitron doesn't hog resources or CPU time. It also doesn't mess with your registry, so you can run it, disable it, run it again, and even just delete it - no problems. If you find adverts intrusive then I recommend giving it a go. It's just like using Adblock Plus in Firefox, and you have full control over how it works.

Ok, so I’m using Windows 7 and latest version of Chrome with the latest version of AdBlock+. I tried using http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/easylist/easylist.txt as a subscription and the other subscriptions you can already pick. The addon works but for some reason if I reload a page the ads appear again so I have to go to preferences and press the Save button one time, and the ads disappear, if I reload the page, they’re back again. I don’t really know why this is happening but I can assume it’s not too hard to fix.

IDK if we need this anymore but have you tried using --enable-local-storage in the shortcut?

I tried that once before but it didn't work (I probably messed something up), I tried it now and it works. Thank you very much!

    Default Problem after reinstall

While testing out a few different methods of blocking and hiding ads with Google Chrome I installed, then uninstalled AdBlock+. Once I decided that I liked it the best out of the options I tried I went ahead and reinstalled it.

Initially when I installed and selected my subscription then clicked Subscribe, it entered the block list in the Global Filters field down below. The re-install however these filters are missing and selecting the subscription and clicking on Subscribe has no effect.

Any ideas? (I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the extension again.)

    Cheers.

Adblock+ seems to need to get updated for the newest Chrome Dev Build.

But it seems like the support for Adblock+ isn't that great, anymore.

Since the last few new dev builds, Adblock+ isn't blocking ads for me.

I've noticed that extensions have just stopped working on certain pages. Such as depositfiles.org. All adblock and PageAction extensions stop working. I don't what's causing it.
