Installing Privoxy

Step 1 - Download & install privoxy.org/

Step 2 - Go to Options>Under the hood>Change Proxy Settings>Lan Settings

Step 3 - Check: “Use a proxy server for your LAN”

Step 4 - Then set address to 127.0.0.1 & port to 8118

Step 5 - Done!

@t4tipu; You are a spammer. Posting similar messages all over the place = spam. Crawl back under your rock.

@jhfire; Are you blind, stupid, or both? There are few threads about ad blocking. And, like some other pillock who's begun posting all over, Adblock+ is NOT Adblock Plus as-in Firefox. It's an element hider. And a good one, too (thought sadly, it fails for me nowadays, but works for most people).

Why have you idiots popped up to tell us how to do things we already know? Why do you link to sites which appear to emulate this one, but give out faulty information? One of you has a post about a cool extension which uses the Toolstrip - haven't you even read the threads here? The Toolstrip is dead.

Maybe you fools hope to use this site to pull people into your junk sites, and maybe they're full of ad links. I don't know, because I haven't seen an advert or a link to one in months. If you bother reading the threads you'll see why.

Heh - here's me sounding all defensive about a site I've bitched about a few times. Well, I've come to like the way folks help each other, and I don't like spamming idiots trying to haul visitors off to their crap sites when all the information they need is here anyway.

Just my tuppence (two cents?) worth Admin and Mods, but maybe you should just boot these idiots the second you see them. And stop newbies having signatures with spam links in them. Maybe some new rules, heavily enforced. Like; Posting about something we have tons of posts about shows you didn't even read anything. Therefore, you're probably a spam idiot. Therefore, gone, dead, never to be seen again.

Oh, and for anyone who's read my post about possibly setting up a forum for ad blocking, etc... Forget it. I can't be bothered dealing with all the idiots.
