Hello,
The AdSweep.crx extension for Chrome is ready for those of you who use the dev-channel ( adsweep!org/AdSweep!crx). To install the extension, close Chrome, open the command prompt, go to the directory where you have your Chrome installation (where chrome.exe resides), and type:
Then, open the properties of your Chrome shortcut, remove your current command flags and use this one instead:Code:chrome.exe --install-extension="C:\path\to\AdSweep.crx"
You can start Chrome and access chrome-ui://extensions/ to see AdSweep listed. Then you can access a web site that is famous for having lots of ads (e.g. digg!com )Code:--enable-extensions

Not sure whether the post actually explains how to get it and install it all that clearly ...
Mind you have just come in from a friends 'stag night' !!!!
Hi guys, did you run into troubles installing the extension? I think using the first snippet above allow to install several extensions side-by-side with no conflict, however, the extension framework is still under development in Chrome. If you need help, please let me know!
Thanks for the guide, calande. I was able to get the extension installed. First I had to switch to the dev channel, and that was difficult because after I switched, it said I had to restart chrome for it to update. I kept restarting chrome and it kept saying to restart so it could update, then I realized I had two chrome.exe processes still running in the background for some reason. so I terminated those and it was able to update fine. after that your instructions were easy to follow. I'm wondering why instructions for the extension aren't up on the developers page. I had to come here to figure out how to install it
I known...Chrome is still beta software (like Gmail, LOL!)
