i recently converted from firefox. i love chrome now, but i'm having trouble committing, because my favorite feature from FF isn't here, and i can't find anything to make chrome behave how i like.

In FF, for example, you can type "wikipedia en" or "bzpower" or even "iPod cable amazon" into the address bar, press enter, and you'd be delivered right to the page you want. in chrome, it gives you a search result page every time. On FF, if you type something long or obscure, however, you'll be directed to a search result page. this feature is a big deal for me, and i'd like to know if there's a way to set chrome to behave similarly (note, i said similar - i'm willing to adjust to similar), maybe an extension or an addon, or a setting i just missed? i appreciate any help i get from this. thanks.

Not sure if this is quite what you want, but if you right click the address bar and choose "manage search engines" you can add search engines for the address bar and give them key words. For example, I have amazon as "amz", YouTube as "yt" and Amazon MP3 as "mp3". I just type that keyword in the address bar, then a space then the search term and it searches that site. Very handy I find. Chrome prompts you to press tab after the keyword to search the site, but you can just hit space if that feels more natural (it does to me).
