    Default AOL mail plugin.

I am sure most of you probably came from FF or IE, well under FF I had the aol toolbar downloaded and it had a mail button that would notify me that I had a new message/s. All I want out of the toolbar is the mail button that will let me preview the message and notify me when I have a new mail message. If anybody knows of anything that can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Currently, I don't believe this is possible in Chrome without opening a new tab or window. Sorry. Just wait until plugins and extensions become officially available.

You could always install Windows Live Mail and sync it with your AOL account.

WLM will give you a popup when new mail is downloaded.

Bit of a 'sledge hammer to crack a nut' approach I know but it works !!

True this! I use it for my Yahoo! and Live email accounts. Fantastic program! I like all the programs in the Live Suite.

Yeah, I actually use it to sync 3 Email accounts ...

My personal account (Yahoo), My works Email (Private) and my business account (Googlemail).

As you know you only need to have your Live mail account open ...

I then use the Live mail account for sending and replying to Emails ...

Thanks. I actually ended up downloading Thunderbird last night, and a tray minimizer, so not as worried about it now. Thanks though.

What's wrong with thunderbird? other than it is put out by Mozilla. I just don't want to pay for outlook. Anyother suggestions?

Well, I don't know whats wrong with Thunderbird, but the two most popular mail desktop programs on the web are Mozilla Thunderbird & Windows Live Mail.
