    Ive heard alot of people complain about the speed of privoxy and there was some other small issue I cant remember.
    Dont get hung up on the fact that proxo isnt actively developed any more. The author died and its source was sold to a commercial company (not 100% confirmed). But really the only problem Ive every had with it is the 32768 search limit on filters and thats only been a problem once. This thing just works and works extremely well.
    Now if proximodo didnt keep crashing thats the one Id use (and was still in active development), why does the author insist its good enough to use is beyond me.

    There does seem to be some lag in page load or maybe the DNS resolution compared to Proxomitron. It's too bad too because otherwise, the default settings and filters are way more up to date and it's more "set it and forget it".

    Hey guys, I've been keeping track of this thread for a while now. I decided to register since I've been having a problem with Proxomitron. I use Image Shack to upload my images to (http://www.imageshack.us/), when Proxomitron is running I am not able to click the "Upload Images!" button to upload the images. I have figured out the "URL-Killer: kill-a-URL (out)" Header is what's blocking it. I tried adding Image Shack to the Bypass list with "[^/]++imageshack.us/" but it doesn't seem to be working.

    Other than that I'm loving Proxomitron, it's so nice seeing sites the way you want to without tons of ads! Thanks for all of the walkthroughs so far guys.

    Okey had a look for ya.
    First up, great on trying to fix it yourself first instead of just begging (main reason I thought Id have a look at it for ya)
    The filter you added will allow anything from imageshack but unfortunately that wasnt your problem.
    If you have a look at the button youll see this....
    Code:
        <input id="swfbutan" style="width: 135px; border: 2px solid rgb(255, 102, 0);" value="start upload!" onclick=" pageTracker._trackEvent('home-click','old-homepage-click-upload-btn'); uploadstart();" type="button">
    So when you click it it tries to do this...
    Code:
    pageTracker._trackEvent('home-click','old-homepage-click-upload-btn'); uploadstart();
    ...well pageTracker._trackEvent() comes from a script from google which get blocked in the kill file (line 52 for me) and so when you click that bit fails as the script was never added to the page and it never does the uploadstart() because of the fail.
    Intsead of removing the google block we'll just remove the pageTracker._trackEvent() and anything like it from the page with a simple filter...
    pageTracker._trackEvent(*);
    ....and youll also need to remove imageshack from your bypass list or this filter wont get run...well that was the long answer :P

    Short answer....
    Remove imageshack from you bypass list and reload lists
    copy the following, click on the Merge button on the main screen and then choose Merge from Clipboard....
    Code:
    [Patterns]
    Name = "Remove Pagetracker"
    Active = TRUE
    URL = "[^/]++imageshack.us/"
    Limit = 256
    Match = "pageTracker._trackEvent(*); "
    might be an idea to change the URL to * to stop this happening on other pages (upto you), but imageshack should be working for you now...is for me

    EDIT: URRGGHH...seems to still not work, sorry
    It starts to upload but never finishs and I only just noticed....Ill have another look at it

    EDIT2: Turn these filters off, or delete them....
    Suppress all JavaScript errors
    Kill pop-up windows
    Restore pop-ups after a page loads
    ...Its one of them, I didnt check which one because I cant be bothered. I normally dont have these on anyway (the only reason I did today was I forgot I was working on a different set), I dont like the idea of filters that target scripts (coz crap like this can happen).....chrome takes care of this crap anyway

    God dam I hope that works for ya

    t4tipu; You are obviously an idiot hoping to draw people to your rubbish site, which features, amongst other junk, totally wrong information about ad blocking. Well done. You win the prize for, "10 year old trying to convince people he's an adult".

    If you and your cohorts who run that site aren't 10 years old, then I apologise. You're not young and dumb, but just plain stupid. You should read the content of this site and learn.

    @Michael

    In total agreement here ...

    All our friend 't4tipu' seems to have done is gone through the forum and posted a link to his site on any thread that vaguely has anything to do with the content on his site ...

    Come on you 'Mods' lets get it sorted ...

    Yeah, I'm online, I'm hot and I'm bitchy! Oh, shit, ok, maybe disregard the bitchy bit. But you know what I mean.

    Admin and Mods here maybe need to tighten up and smack these idiots around the face, ie., just bin them. No second thought, no argument; anyone spamming or trying to draw members away to their misinformed idiot sites gets ditched and banned at once.

    Maybe some way of stopping them before they post crap..?

    Ah, geez. If only for face-to-face and a flame-thrower. Ten year old idiots would burn well, I think.

    You know, I think that's the problem outlined. Those who set up idiot sites and leech from others are probably nothing more than pre-pubescent boys. They perhaps think that they can make some pennies over the Internet, having heard that others have done so, and so they latch on to 'the latest thing'. Right now it happens to be Chrome.

    What they don't realise, being just out of nappies, is that a) Google are using people for free (they call it Open Source, but they still make billions), and b) those who really DO make money online normally have hair between their legs. (And for you spammers, no, that doesn't mean straddling a dog or a goat).
