And to think I was suffering with having my Primary Email Inbox bombarded with everything from alternative medicines to how to increase the size of my favourite appendage

The filter you added will allow anything from imageshack but unfortunately that wasnt your problem.
If you have a look at the button youll see this....
Code:
    <input id="swfbutan" style="width: 135px; border: 2px solid rgb(255, 102, 0);" value="start upload!" onclick=" pageTracker._trackEvent('home-click','old-homepage-click-upload-btn'); uploadstart();" type="button">
So when you click it it tries to do this...
Code:
pageTracker._trackEvent('home-click','old-homepage-click-upload-btn'); uploadstart();
...well pageTracker._trackEvent() comes from a script from google which get blocked in the kill file (line 52 for me) and so when you click that bit fails as the script was never added to the page and it never does the uploadstart() because of the fail.
Intsead of removing the google block we'll just remove the pageTracker._trackEvent() and anything like it from the page with a simple filter...
pageTracker._trackEvent(*);
....and youll also need to remove imageshack from your bypass list or this filter wont get run...well that was the long answer :P

Short answer....
Remove imageshack from you bypass list and reload lists
copy the following, click on the Merge button on the main screen and then choose Merge from Clipboard....
Code:
[Patterns]
Name = "Remove Pagetracker"
Active = TRUE
URL = "[^/]++imageshack.us/"
Limit = 256
Match = "pageTracker._trackEvent(*); "
might be an idea to change the URL to * to stop this happening on other pages (upto you), but imageshack should be working for you now...is for me

EDIT: URRGGHH...seems to still not work, sorry
It starts to upload but never finishs and I only just noticed....Ill have another look at it

EDIT2: Turn these filters off, or delete them....
Suppress all JavaScript errors
Kill pop-up windows
Restore pop-ups after a page loads
...Its one of them, I didnt check which one because I cant be bothered. I normally dont have these on anyway (the only reason I did today was I forgot I was working on a different set), I dont like the idea of filters that target scripts (coz crap like this can happen).....chrome takes care of this crap anyway

God dam I hope that works for ya
Thanks for looking for me . Ok, I feel like a super noob for this one, where are those filters you told me to turn off? I can't find them in the Web Page or Headers filter list.

I think most of my posts are in this thread, so it's as good a place as any to say au revoir.

Having been sick of spamming idiots for a long time, I've decided just not to bother much with the Internet at all any more. There are so many better things to do in life than trawl through rubbish and spam posts and/or emails.

I hope this thread is useful to any new members or readers looking for ways to block the junk, but I won't be contributing any more to it in future. Ad blocking is quite simple really, as anyone who's followed the thread and tried what I suggested has found.

Sadly, spammers and lack of tight control here ruin it for me, and I won't waste my time subscribing to threads which are updated by moronic posts from spammers. Have fun guys and girls, and thanks to all who've helped me with Chrome related problems - I very much appreciate it.

It does the same thing your's did in your testing. It lets me click upload but it doesn't finish uploading the image. Oh well, I really appreciate your help, I'll just have to bypass Proxo when I want to upload images.

Sad to see you go Michael, you have been so much help to me with your tutorials. I thank you for that.

Cool board and I like the look of this. Is following the later posts the way to go? Any major problems or anything with Proxomitron? (I tried something else but it sucked).

Ha, it works! Very nice. Slippy little adverts gone, and I didn't have to kill anyone. Result.
