    I can see why youd want this if you have a slow comp and a fast internet connection, makes sense to me.
    Unfortunately I dont know of a way of just redirecting the pdf with what we have available so far.
    But you could have a script to check every page you go to, look for pdf links and change the link.
    Well Im no proper coder so I just had a quick look for GM script that did something with pdf links and changed it.....
    PDFviewer.crx
    ...its far from perfect, youll get false hits (try doing a search for pdfs on google to see) and it wont get some things.
    OhWell something to use till you get something better, thats all Im gonna do

    Script came from....

    Thank you! Works almost perfectly as far as I can tell! It doesn't pick up redirects to pdfs as far as I can tell, but it catches all the direct shortcuts.

    Thanks again!

    Red face anyone for a "no color" extension

    I've found the Firefox "no color" extension to be invaluable on sites that have horrible color schemes. Photography sites and game sites seem to be the worst.

    All it does is remove all colors from the page and leave a nice readable site.

    Any takers?

    try adding the following as a bookmarklet

    Code:
    javascript: (function(){ var newSS, styles='* { background: white ! important; color: black !important } :link, :link * { color: #0000EE !important } :visited, :visited * { color: #551A8B !important }'; if(document.createStyleSheet) { document.createStyleSheet("javascript:'"+styles+"' "); } else { newSS=document.createElement('link'); newSS.rel='stylesheet'; newSS.href='data:text/css,'+escape(styles); document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(newSS); } } )();

    Default Thanks!

    That certainly appears to do the trick. Thank you for the code - you've helped keep my eyes from being like this

    What would have to go into a plugin that would allow the storage of the original style information, so it could be turned on and off like a switch?

    just my personal opinion;

    bookmarklets don't use resources, but extensions do

    SirG:
    Here's an ugly version of the extension you wanted.
    ClearPrint.crx (1.9KB)
    ...Click the Clear Print (Couldnt think of a better name for it) and the background will go green which means its active. Now what ever page you go to will have that script applied to it. Click it again and now the background will be transparent and it wont be applied to pages, so you can refresh to see the original page again.
    Its ugly coz it took me too long to figure the port stuff and Im going to bed soon Anyone can make it better, or if I feel like it I might (I just wanted an exercise in ports).....really could do with an icon for on/off instead of changing the background colour....but itll do ya :P

    Thanks to sulasno for the code, I wouldnt have bothered otherwise.

    EDIT: Dam it, it doesnt work properly....this port stuff is killing me....Ill try and fix it tommorow

    SirG:
    Couldnt see how to add/change an attachment with edit so heres one that DOES work.....

    ...sorry bout that
    I know how to do attachments in an edit now

    Here's version 0.2 which is ever so slightly less ugly and now has the option to make it white text on a black background coz some people seem to like that.
    ClearPrint.crx (13.8KB)
    Now if I could just find a switch icon to replace the blob and think of a name I might actually release it .

    Can anyone make a youtube scrobble script for last.fm?

    The "youscrobble"-Userscript is not working in Chrome, Iron or ChromePlus
