i'd like to request a plugin that can enable/disable javascript on a defined page. similar plugins from FF are calles yesscript or noscript. yesscript is what i use, you can disable javascript by a push of a button

Not sure if this is OT as extensions exist (or used to). Is there a working YouTube video grabber extension? I'm using a bookmarklet that makes a jump to KickYouTube, and it works fine, but a one-click download would be good. The extensions listed elsewhere don't seem to work, ie., they do nothing in my browser.

    Any ideas..?

Thumbs up Call for a coder: Speed dials.

I don't know if this would be difficult to make an extension for, but here's an idea...

I'm really sick of Chrome's dumb thumbnails. They 'break' all the time because Chrome keeps trying to refresh them. Others have said that they cache silly amounts of data, when all they need is one thumbnail each. The keep/don't keep doesn't work properly. Basically, they're almost useless to me in Chrome. In Opera or Firefox (plugin) they're superb. One thumbnail per URL, editable, and the image can be updated, stay set as it first appears, and refreshed if required.

I considered Only2Clicks and SafariDial, but don't like them for various reasons. I also considered making a simple web page on my machine and setting it as my Chrome Homepage. Not very easy to update though. So...

Would it be possible to make an extension that used a local HTML page to store thumbnails, which allowed the URL to be set and then fetched an image just once? If the thumbnail needed refreshing you could just re-input the URL and let it fetch a new image. It wouldn't even need drag-and-drop, really. Being set as the Chrome Homepage it would load quickly, wouldn't give errors or anything if you weren't connected, and would just open the clicked thumbnail's page as Chrome does now.

Any ideas on this? Any takers? (Come on, you know you love a challenge..!)

Ah, that's a shame. Maybe someone will fancy building a new extension..? I guess for now I'll create my own fancy New Tab page, as I usually have the same thumbnails on there anyway.
