When you add support for GreaseMonkey, Stylish and ImgLikeOpera-like extentions?
Chrome is nice and fast, but it stopping me to use it, because I do not have those extentions.

And dont tell me about "development versions, special command line keys and secret directories in Document and Settings" :P I want it normal way

GreaseMonkey is supported in chrome (dev version atleast, dont know on the others). You can now go somewhere like userscripts.org and just click on Install. Unfortunately not all the greasemonkey API is supported so some scripts might not work (heaps do tho).
Never used Stylish, but had a look and it seems at userstyles.org there is now an install as extension button for the styles hosted there (very cool), so maybe that will do for you in the meantime.
Got no help on the ImgLikeOpera.

    This thing does not work:

    http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/58952

I ran development chrome version 4.0.249.25 with --enable-greasemonkey key, but nothing happen, although user script is installed.

AFAIK there is now support for built-in extensions in dev version, enabled by --enable-extensions command line key. Could someone please add support for GreaseMonkey as normal extention with monkey face on toolbar instead of --enable-greasemonkey hack?

And when extentions will appear on release builds ?

ImgLikeOpera is nice extention, which allow to enable/disable image loading on the fly.

--enable-extensions is no longer necessary in dev Chrome

Unless greasemonkey specific API's are supported, a lot of scripts just won't work.

With Firefox, I use 6 Greasemonkey scripts. Only 1 of those works in Chrome. I have to switch over to Firefox when I want to use sites that I used those scripts on.

I think a very useful, and potentially very popular extension would be one that is utilized by adding global status updating functionality to the magic bar. One possible avenue of implementation is requiring the user to precede their desired status by the word "status" or a shorter method would also allow the user to just type "s" then they would enter a space and type out their message.

This extension could have an options menu that allows for a user to access their various social networks (Facebook, myspace, twitter, etc.)

What do you guys think? Hate it? Love it? Want some more of it?

    Default Extension/Plugin request

I am a fan of Chromium and im glad to see that extensions are staring to appear. I use Linux (Ubuntu) btw.

I played around with many browsers and i liked Midori's
    (http://www.twotoasts.de/index.php?/p...i_summary.html) way of disabling plugins.

The idea is that you have a button that toggles the mozilla (flash, java etc) plugins on/off during runtime (i mean no browser restart required). Thats very helpful on pages heavy on flash content that you dont want for the moment and you dont want to block/unblock them either.

Maybe you could select the plugins you dont want to be active, not all of them on/off). Can this be done?

Can someone try porting this to chrome? http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/23612

Also, someone previously stated that he could take full page screen shots with ctrl+scrnshot, but I still haven't figured that out yet.

There are many gesture/drag extensions, but none that can do what I want. I am transitioning from Firefox. Firefox has an extension named Easy DragToGo that let me do the following:

    • drag a html link in any direction and have it open in a background tab
    • drag an image in any direction and have it download
    • drag text in any direction and have it google the text and open it in a new background tab

    Can anyone make this?
