    Hey,
    I really need a ModDB new update/thread/PM notifier (simple one, that would just tell me how many news there are at my account).
    Would be great if someone could make it. I can make gfx/icons etc for it since I like to keep my Chrome 'clean' (so all icons are Chromified, not multicolor - everything is blue).

    Thanks in advance!

    Default an extension to disable window cascading

    i'd love an extension that disabled the way chrome cascades new windows across my screen. i filed an issue for this, but it was understandably WontFix'd:
    http://code.google.com/p/chromium/is...etail?id=36098

    cheers,
    marc

    ps: though i'm glad i've found this thread and its knowledgeable contributors, a thread like this surely isn't the ideal way to keep track of great extension requests. some sort of database like an issue tracker would seem more appropriate. it would be a great resource for extension writers to peruse for inspiration.

    Probably a complete and utter waste of time posting this request, but hey what the heck ...

    The latest Dev releases included a feature called 'Phantom Tabs' which replaced the original 'Pinned Tabs' feature ...

    This caused a few problems if you wanted to restart your Chrome with 'Pinned Tabs', however I found a way to do this quite successfully using a combination of a Keyboard shortcut and a 'right click' tab options and Close Window (I actually use mouse gestures) ...

    How To Preserve Your Pinned Tabs at Startup With the Latest Dev Channel Release

    So what I need is an extension that will replicate the following ...

    Goto the first 'pinned' tab (Ctrl+1) in order to have the 'right click' available
    Right Click - Close Other Tabs (or Close All Tabs to the Right)
    Close Browser (X on Window Tab)

    The rationale behind this extension is that we use the 'Reopen the pages that were last open' startup option for Chrome, so we only want our Phantom/Pinned tabs open when we actually close Chrome ...

    In real terms this means we want to close ALL normal (Unpinned) tabs then Close the Browser (Window) ...

    Unfortunately, to do this manually you need to go to one of the 'phantom'pinned' tabs first...

    Hope this makes sense to someone ...

    @mg2

    This is looking quite promising, I'll have a look on Monday when I get back from London ...

    In the Capital of England to see Aston Villa (my favourite football team) compete against Manchester United (guess you've heard of them) in this years Carling Cup Final ...

    In the meantime, thanks for your input on my behalf ;-)

    I think AutoHotKey might be a better solution for that particular idea, since it has positional requirements, and the graphics would be too varying.
    However that program looks really awesome mg2, thanks for the link.

    anyone think they could help me by turning the following, into a userscript, that only/automatically applys on "www.google.com" (not the searches, just the homepage, and Igoogle)

    Code:
    javascript:A14nH=location.href;L3f7=prompt('Choose%20File%201',A14nH);R1Gh7=prompt('Choose%20File%202',L3f7);if(L3f7&&R1Gh7){Fr4Q='<frameset%20cols=\'*,*\'>\n<frame%20src=\''+L3f7+'\'/>';Fr4Q+='<frame%20src=\''+R1Gh7+'\'/>\n';Fr4Q+='</frameset>';with(document){write(Fr4Q);void(close())}}else{void(null)}
    On google, i want it to open up 2 copys of the google homepage (instead of prompting for 2 websites), side by side, with the sliding bar, as far left as it can go (so you only see the right page, and the drag bar on the far left.)

    I want the same thing with I-google, except the hidden page, should just be the regular www.google.com.

    Optionally, you could make it an extension that works on every page, but that isnt preferable, as the google page does take some bandwith, even if its not alot. but feel free to make it work on other search engines.

    UPDATE: ive modified the origional code so that it works exactly as i planned, the only thing left is for me to figure out how to turn it into a userscript so i can specify when its ran, and dont have to click it. (any pointers)

    New Source attached, and its good as is, but it still takes 1 click
    Code:
    javascript:R1Gh7=location.href;L3f7= "http://www.google.com/";if(R1Gh7&&L3f7){Fr4Q='<frameset%20cols="0%,100%">\n<frame%20src=\''+L3f7+'\'/>';Fr4Q+='<frame%20src=\''+R1Gh7+'\'/>\n';Fr4Q+='</frameset>';with(document){write(Fr4Q);void(close())}}else{void(null)}

    That would be so cool if someone could do that. And I just tried sikuli. Not very useful. Since you can't autorun it with ease. And it is not very good at identifying pinned tabs so...
    Chrome and Chromium FTW!

    I need a extension performing similarly to QuietURL

    Basically it needs to: convert text with urls to live links and fix broken links, like hxxp://www.site.com

    Is this even possible for Chrome?
