Ive been trying to find this but I guess it doesnt exist yet even tho Ive seen many requests for it everywhere else: Im looking for a plugin that will prevent the Download Bar at the bottom of Chrome from appearing when I download something. Id prefer the option of having a separate small, minimized window open up or perhaps just a small toaster popup in the right hand corner letting me know the download is done.

Talking about downloads, I would like to have an extension that would manage my download so that if a download stops due to a break in my net connectivity, the download could resume from where it left off and not right from scratch all over again.

    In edit:
Digging a bit more, I came across this:
Firefox lets you pause and resume downloads. The Google Chrome browser also has a feature with the same labels. However, they function differently in one very important way. Firefox lets you pause a download, close the browser, restart the browser (even after a reboot), and resume the download. Google Chrome only lets you resume a download during a single browser session. If you close the browser, you cannot resume the download after launching it a second time. There may be an option to change this behavior. But, this appears to be the default behavior...

This is meets my needs (although resuming even after a shut-down would be ideal). I still have to try it out.

Does anyone know if there is a Chrome alternative to the Firefox extension "Save Image in Folder"? You can basically set up different folders to instantly save an image there, rather than having to click through your all your folders. It's pretty much the only thing that is preventing me from switching to Chrome properly.

Default Single click to select all in address bar(linux)

I'm looking for a single click select all for the omnibar in Chrome.

When you click on the address bar in Chrome on Linux, instead of selecting everything so you can start typing, it places the cursor to edit the url instead. This is different then on windows, Mac and even Firefox in Linux. It actually worked properly in Linux until someone requested it to be changed, using some asinine(IMO) logic. Apparently someone at Google bit and now they won't change it back or even give us an option.

This seems like something a simple extension could fix, but I don't know how myself.

thanks for listening to my rant.

think I know what you mean. I've missed the autofill from the Google Toolbar where you click and it fills in the fields rather than having to go to each individually.
I have something I want: a password manager that saves passwords for vBulletin forums and has a master password. Call me paranoid, but if anyone bypasses my boot and biometric security (like if I leave my computer on and unlocked), I don't like how easy it is to see all my passwords. Oh and it would be great if there was a fingerprint reader integration like: http://files.upek.com/GetPackage.asp...41U2OV1GQBPHUO.
