I'm hoping it would be possible to get a Chrome extension similar to Firefox's Paste Email, or like Opera's Notes function. I'm not sure if there's an extension like this already for Chrome, but I my searches haven't came up with anything.
Thanks.

Hello everyone.
Facebook chat on any page in Chrome? Possible?
I know it's a little late in coming, but I've got a new Autofill extension:
https://chrome.google.com/extensions...ikfpnddkbbfkkk
Check it out if the built-in AutoFill feature is not your cup of tea. This extension puts you in complete control of the autofill operation. If you know Regular Expressions, then you'll have even more power at your fingertips.
For those who are looking for a good and secure password management extension, I highly recommend the LastPass extension.
I would like something like a search that prioritizes results from pages in your bookmarks, or only results from boookmarks or also sites linked from them. I usually just subscribe to rss instead of bookmarking a page as you can still find it from reader and its usually more convenient but not always.. I still have croploads of bookmarks lurking in my "other bookmarks" folder and would like to kind of have a look at whats going on in them but it would take way too long. It could be a search bar in the other bookmarks folder or better yet a modifier while pressing enter to search in the main bar like ctrl+enter or sometihng.
This could be a reeeaaaly usefull thing for people with loads of bookmarks..
i think it could be made fairly easilytoo as its not so different from a "advanced search" in google but wit many sites not just one, and if it was a hotkey for this in chrome it would be very cool
thanks

Hi
I am looking for a plugin that will check whether the computer actually has access to the Internet before opening the tabs from the last session.
I live on a sailboat and Internet access is usually via prepaid hotspots in the anchorages and marinas. Mostly I connect from the boat with a long range wifi adapter.
When I open the Chrome browser, all the tabs that are restored from the previous session get redirected to the access point's login page. So, instead of my e-mails, PuppEee linux forum, boating pages, Weather sites etc., I end up with half a dozen tabs all displaying the login page for the hotspot. In some cases I can get back to the site I really wanted by clicking back in each tab once I'm logged in, but in most cases the back button is greyed out.
What I would like is for Chrome to check whether I'm really online, for instance by silently attempting to open google.com or pinging a known address. If the connection to google.com is redirected or the ping goes unanswered, Chrome will open only one tab, let me log in to the access point (with saved username and password) and then open the other tabs from my previous session once I have full access to the Internet. I know I am not alone, as this problem will affect anyone who regularly uses hotspots.
I use the Chrome browser in both XP and PuppEee Linux, so the plugin needs to be Linux friendly. The Chrome version in Linux is 5.0.375.70 which is the newest available for that OS.
My very clunky workaround in XP has been to open IE first, log in to the hotspot and then open Chrome, but it's time consuming and sometimes I forget and loose all my saved tabs again. In Linux I only have Chrome installed and don't really want to bloat it with another browser.
Regards,
Owen, Donna, Sparky and Coco
