It won't install for me either.
And sulasno, I have never had that box checked. I have had this happen to me a few times before too... It's just odd.
This is a discussion on Cleeki (superior alternative to IE8 Accelerators) is now for Google Chrome within the Chrome Plugins section, part of the Google Chrome category: It won't install for me either. And sulasno, I have never had that box checked. I have had this happen ...

try using another browser to download the extension while keeping Chrome closed;
fireup Chrome and drag the extension to Chrome
Thanks, this is very good and useful extension!
Can I ask about one small feature request: is it possibly to search using Chrome search engines instead of predefined in Cleeki, like it done in Auto Context firefox extension https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/5714 (see "Search With..." context menu item)?
I just upgraded Cleeki to 1.6.7 with full configuration (finally).
It can be downloaded from: http://www.cleeki.com/download.html. Make
sure to choose version 1.6.7 (for 4.0.221.6+. It uses the latest
browser actions as the UI. I personally dislike the idea of ripping
off toolstrip completely. But whatever...)
What you can do:
1. Edit/add/delete/re-arrange your Cleeki channels
2. Import IE8 Accelerators
3. Define the size of the preview window
4. Define operations (e.g., open in background new tab, in background
new tab, in preview window, etc.)
5. Many, many more.
Since this is the first release with configuration, if you find any
issues or have questions, let me know and I will give it a shoot.
Thanks and enjoy!
