This has become so chronic that I not only unloaded shockwave and reloaded, but I wiped my entire system and reloaded. Within one day I am at the same place. Crashing within 2-3 minutes or opening Farmville & Frontierville. I thought it was because I had more than one tab open, but that is not the cause either. It still happens, it just takes longer to crash. I should mention that it makes no difference whether I use Firefox, IE, or Chrome I have Registry Mechanic loaded, AVG, and Spybot. None are registering a problem. Where should I go from here?

FIX: (credit to an EU poster from another thread... THIS WORKED FOR ME, but no guarantees)

First I went to Adobe and downloaded the most current version of the Chrome plugin
then...
With any Chrome browser page open:
click spanner, or wrench icon if in USA, (top right corner)
click - options
click- under the hood (bonnet)
choose- privacy-contents settings
choose - plug ins - disable individual settings

You will probably see 2 shockwave plug ins installed.
One that you originally had,and one that came with chrome.(probably)
You need to disable one of them, probably the oldest version and try Chrome again.

If it doesn't work, try to disable the other version, but you need to disable one of them.

Now it seems to work fine, for me.
Note, I am runnning XP, on a old desktop.

I read a post from a google techie, that said to disable the gcsw32.dll
It stopped the crash messages,but I had no video on websites,only still pictures.
He said it worked for him.
So I re-enabled that one and disabled the other,np32dsw.dll.
It now works fine!
Note, I am runnning XP, on a old desktop.
