Google Chrome Plugins and Themes

Today I created my first small extension for google chrome.
DblClickDial gives you the flexibility of having the newtab pages blank by default, and upon dblclick- view your history.
Need to hide it again- just double-click anywhere on the page.

"Could not install extension from 'C:\Users\<User>\Downloads\DblClickDial.crx'. Invalid extension manifest."

This is on dev version 2.0.180.0.

If you wish your plugin to work with this vesrion then update your manifest for the appropriate newtab URL: chrome://newtab/

Of course I'm sure it probably works with older dev versions and the beta version as well (not sure if beta supports .crx install since I've never used beta).

I have updated the manifest. Let me know if it works OK for you now.

I disabled my custom new tab extension and tried yours out. It does indeed work fine now, just not the functionality I need.

I can't download the Dblclickdial a pop up window says extensions are not enabled add - -enable-extensions to the properties which i did it also says this is a temporary message and will be removed when extension UI is finalized. I am on the latest dev version. Need help thanks.

I've recently been looking at extensions that have been posted on this forum but previously I hadn't had the time to look at ...

One of those in question is you DCD ...

I currently use Custom NewTab to have effectively a second home page ...

Having said that I found your extension to be quite cool ...

Unfortunately you can't use both of them together ...

I have two questions ...

How easy would it be to have an option in yours to specify a page of your choice (as in CNT) and the other, can you change the double click to a single click ...

@ Foosy: any chance to have your extension re-packaged so that it works with the latest Chrome dev version again?
