Hello Forum,
I hope you can help me. I'm having trouble getting this DivX Web Player Plugin to work.
Currently i'm using the IRON browser with the Flashplayer and Shockwave.
Can you help me setting up the Web player for DivX?
I installed the Version 1.4.3 of the webplayer and K-lite pack.
It works with Firefox Portable. Is there a guide to install it for Chrome/Iron Portable?
Thanks in advance

You can check if you have DivX installed by typingin your address bar..HTML Code:about:plugins
Not sure if that's going to help.. but i don't know much about Iron.
JStaxton,
Just out of curiosity, why chose Iron and not plain Chrome?
I cannot think of a valid reason to choose for yet another version of Chrome
As Chrome is still in development and Iron being derived from it why Iron?
This will mean that you will always be wandering behind
and not getting as much support as with the genuine Chrome, no?
Or, I maybe missing something here, hence my question: Why Iron?
Kind Regards,
Luc VN

Hello,
thx for your very quick answers... aboutlugins tells me as follows
I can see the video shown here. But there are cases in which the player doesnt load... so I guess its a codec problem? hm...Code:DivX Web Player Dateiname: npdivx32.dll DivX Web Player version 1.4.3.4
as for why Iron... yeah i kind of mistrusted googles attempts to "get more information from my computer than i was willing to give" but wanted to test chrome, so i ended up using Iron. Some of the disadvantages of chrome listed here (german) are already worked out, but i sticked to Iron...
Tell me what you think about it.
Further help for my webplayer problem is highly appreciated.
Thanks for your help

Latest DivXWebplayer does not respond in any of the following browsers
IE 8/9, Mozilla & Chrome
The problem with the web player appeared after downloading the newest version of divx package and installing it. If your divx web player freezes when you are trying to play divx content in your browser it looks like you do not have the plug-in installed. Download older version of divx web player (1.5 seems to be working well for me: http://support.divx.com/faq/view/sup...Legacy-Version), install it and you are ready to watch anything you want.
The solution worked for me; windows 7, google chrome.
I couldn't find any plug ins for Chrome with that link. What is it you download, the whole program?
Using your link, it says it requires a serial number for items listed there.
