This is a discussion on Drag 'n Go extension [updated 2009.8.28] within the Chrome Plugins section, part of the Google Chrome category: should work in the latest trunk now p.s. why I can't change the thread titile?...
should work in the latest trunk now
p.s. why I can't change the thread titile?
thanks for the update
I see the title as "Drag 'n Go extension [updated 2009.9.1]"
Yay it works again
Thanks
Does this have a similar functionality to Snap Links ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4336 )? You draw a box around a number of links and they all open in new tabs. That would be great.

Guys, I hate to sound trite here, but why click AND drag?? I just installed this, and yes it works as described, but I'm completely missing the point of the dragging part... why the extra step?
Is it because no one has figured out how to create a plugin that opens new tabs/bookmarks/favorites in a new tab by simply left/right clicking??? I've been looking for an option/plugin to do this in chrome since it first came out, and I still can't seem to find it, even on a developer version.. lol it's such a simple concept - is it really that difficult to develop?
Precise control over opening links/bookmarks/etc should have been an option integrated into at least the first few versions of chrome.
Short of that, a plugin like Tab Mix Plus for Firefox should have been made available a long time ago. Firefox seems light years ahead of Chrome because of the plethora of extremely useful plugins, and the absolute ease of installing them (you don't need a developer or beta version).
I like Chrome - it seems very snappy and stable, but I think it's silly to have to jump through hoops to achieve a very very simple thing.
Am I missing something here..![]()
I agree with you on a few things there. However, I don't think that left/right clicking is something that is very much sought after - those both already have useful functions. Middle button already does the open in new tab function...
Also, just briefly looking into Tab Mix Plus, it seems that Chrome already has those features... "It includes such features as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, plus much more. It also includes a full-featured session manager." It already has all of these in the standard release.
I agree about the hassle of needing developer versions to run plugins etc.
You need to run Dev Version for extension because Chrome extension system is in development. When Google decide it's ready and all they promise is here (centralize extension gallery, automatic extension update serves etc.) they'll push it to the Beta and then to Stable versions. It's that simple.
Is it possible to hide the Drag'n Go's status bar?
Do you think you can make an auto-hide button for the bar?
or embed buttons for the settings in the tab bar.
