    ...you cant put youtube downloaders on the official extension gallery.

    Maybe this will work for you (dont know, didnt try it).....

    where exactly is this on the youtube page or the browser? - doesn't load to my ext bar and don't see it on the youtube page

    try that one, just used it it works fine. once its installed you'll see the addon above the youtube video, below the seach bar, with the text:
    ONE CLICK DOWNLOAD LINKS |FLV 360p |FLV 240p | Load MP4

    Why can't I find this in the google extension store? I see the download link above, which goes to sites.google.com, but I want to verify that it's not a suspicious attachment. Thanks
