jangxyz; Chrome API is only accessible through a "view" in your extension. Which is basically everything except a content script. So comment on communication was a reference to the fact that to support APIs, the content script would have to tell the background page to perform it.
We have designed a new system to entirely manage the gestures in the BGP (though recognition and such will be done in the content script), this will allow user to better manage and distribute gestures (by allowing them to create separate JS files for them) and to directly access the Chrome APIs.

Thankfully it seems like Kyrax will be unbusy soon and can give a go at implementing it.
Hopefully I can soon as well, but I feel it necessary to fix my old projects first. :X

I am using 3.0.197 and the extension doesn't work. Any ideas ?

I also can't get it to work in 3.0.197, it installs but nothing works. I'm using version 1.07.

Well the script does work but I have a couple of issues:
- if I try to change a gesture from up, right to only right I get messages with some sort of offset. As I realized this is required for some help page so I needed to change there also
- the newblanktab now opens a new window not a new tab. The pop-up blocker comes in and blockes it.
- the arrows that appear on the screen, can be made smaller ?
