When Kyrax originally created this extension he mentioned there was a problem with the close gesture in that it didn't always work ...

It is actually happening more often then you think if you watch the bottom right hand corner of your browser as you go from page to page the little pop-up blocker keeps blocking the window from popping up.

I'm not sure if Gmail captures some of the browser commands like when you go forward or back it changes within Gmail instead of going to the last website you visited.

Can you duplicate the problem in Gmail or see the pop-up's being blocked?

@StevePaul:
The crx link I posted has to do with my server vs Waha's server... my server hosts the file as a text file and I havent really bothered looking into it. If this continues to move forward then I suspect we will find a centralized place to host this. Probably google code. The version was correct on the extension just typo'd on the forums. It should work fine.

@dangdang:
We'll look into the popups, as far as the close tab gesture, its ability is blocked due to the restrictions the extension has. If google allows us to use the tabs API then we'll see a much better version for new tabs and closing existing tabs.

@pcki11:
Its meant to replicate the reload icon, its a circle animation and fairly quick to perform with a flick of the wrist. If you have a better idea on how to implement it let us know.

@dangdang

Watched the vid, certainly not getting the problem you've got ...

Did you have the problem before you went ahead and modified the extension?

@Kryptyx

Before I update will your version create a separate 1.04 folder in the extension like Waha's did ...

Does it save it as ChromeGestures.user

Yes it will create a separate folder, thats how the extensions work when the version changes. The ChromeGestures.user.js will be updated with the version I modified, you will need to re-add your customizations.

The old ChromeGestures.user.js file is still there in the 1.03 folder so you can just copy your customizations from there to your new 1.04 folder.

@Kryptyx Can you duplicate the pop-ups in your current build? I wonder if it has anything to do with my other extension I am using right now which is Adsweep? Maybe they have a conflict?

Doesn't seem to be caused by Adsweep because I have now successfully uninstalled Adsweep and the pop-ups persist.
