Default Extension to save position on webpage

Hi, I'm loving chrome, it works for everything I need (minus a download helper, but I've learned to live without it). However there is one very important piece of functionality that I'm missing, and that is the ability to save your position in the middle of a webpage.

I have a ton of html formatted e-books, books that take up about ten thousand lines on a single page. This is an issue because there is no way for me to return to the point where I left off on the book. My current solution is just to keep the webpage open all the time, but that doesn't work when I have to restart the computer or just plain don't want so much stuff open.

In any case, I need an extension where I can save exactly where I am on the page and return to it. Does anybody know of a current extension that can do that?

    +1,
or use (user defined) list of sites where position of all pages should be saved automatic on (page close | go next page | exit browser)

    A bit late, but still
I was unable to find a common solution for all the browsers (I use not just chrome) and had to develop my own service. Use it if you wish. I'll be glad for any feedback.
