Just installed your extension and it seemed to work OK and from what I saw quite liked it ...

However, when I restarted Chrome it crashed the session before it started ...

Any ideas ;-)

I have released version 0.3.

Hopefully this will fix some bugs that people were having.

Updates (0.3) - Download in first post
* Made the toolstrip smaller show it only shows the icon and the number of new notifications.
* Updated the code to show when you are not logged in (says Login).

I plan on doing some stuff with the "moles" once they get them to a reasonable state.

For those that were having issues, I can create a debug version and send it to you so we can figure the issues out.

Please PM me and we'll get down the bottom of this as I do have more planned.

Are you using the Chrome Version 3.0.196.2?

Can you send me a screen shot of the crash?

While I'm not a big fan of the whole "Social Networking" sites I do like the idea behind this extension. I have tweaked the extension to work for several sites I work on to track how many new posts have been made as well as an indicator for new PM's received. On the site itself I just dump the values to a profile.json script and use the extension to parse it.

I assume Facebook does not have a XML or JSON page that display such information? It would be a lot cleaner than having to parse the webpage itself.

I have not found a XML/JSON page on facebook, hence the code to find the notifications.

I am still poking around as I do have other plans for this extension using moles.
