I've been a firefox user for years, and also an avid fan of the Google Toolbar. So here I am finally giving Chrome a test run ... and theres no Google Toolbar option? What's that all about?

I am a heavy user of the Google bookmark tool on the Google Toolbar. Are there any apps/plugins whatever-gizmos that replicate this? If not, its probably a deal-breaker for me!

I'm not sure but I believe what you are referring to is called 'Other Bookmarks'. It is located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. I have been using Chrome for several years now and find that it fills the bill for what I do. Like a new pair of shoes, it takes some getting used to. I really like the the top of the browser uncluttered with toolbars. I'm the friends and family's guru when it comes to computers. I have see some of them with more than 25% of the screen covered with toolbars. In my opinion you just don't need the toolbars. Chrome has extensions. I use Ad-Block and translate. One of the really nice things, especially if you use multiple computers is automatic syncing of the bookmarks. Move from computer to computer and the bookmarks follow you.
