THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
I have downloaded and I use this extension
I will eventually download and use this extension
I would not download and use this extension
I don't use Hotmail
I would use it if could use Gmail, Yahoo...
I am lazy an don't have an opinion
This is a discussion on Hotmail Notifier Extension within the Chrome Plugins section, part of the Google Chrome category: WONDERFUL! it works 100% THANK YOU!!!!!!!!...
Some suggestions:
1. In order to get it to work, you first have to log on to Hotmail in Google Chrome. I don't think this has been mentioned in the thread.
2. Can you please change it so that it says "Hotmail - Inbox (0)" as the current version takes up too much space
3. When you click on the button and before the folders are shown, a massive blank grey box opens above the button (about one third of the screen's length). Is there any way to get rid of this so it just goes straight to showing the various folders?
4. Could you make the folder "tab" a little thinner? There's a lot of wasted space to the right of the folder names
Other than that, this is an awesome little extension! Keep up the good work![]()
I dont use hotmail anymore (just gmail) but thats a really good extension done well.
But it does take up a lot of space, I changed the gmail one for the same reason, the icon is good enough.
I too think it would be a better idea for 'no new messages' to simple read '0' as per the GMail Notifier thingy extension as it takes up a wiiiiide amount of room otherwise.
Love it though even though i use GMail, i still have a Hotmail account that needs checking from time-to-time - this makes it so much easier!)
Hi,
1, It will be done (Added to the 1st Post)
2, Good Idea, This also will be done. Any further suggestions are always noticed first if you post it as an issue on google code (Click the Bugs link on the 1st post)
3, I will try, I have been trying to do this if you have seen the code. Please remember that extensions are still in development, havn't been officially released yet and this is the first attempt I know of somebody using the extensions expand method (The bit which creates the popup.).
4, I might do this, I will have to do some testing with folder size since the way the list is designed any text WILL overflow over the edge.
Thanks again for you suggestions.
PLEASE NOTE:
I will be copying this extension and making it available for use with Gmail.
Um, I can defiantly try.
I have a few concerns about it and clicking on it will ONLY allow you to go to your inbox, no folder popup/dropdown from a bookmark like the Extension.
For now, I am going to quick release a minature version of the extension which ONLY shows(xx) (Pretend the
is the hotmail favicon). But which, when click will still show the popup.
Then after I do that (Which will only take like 5 min) I will try make a bookmark version.
If/When Google releases the ability for Chromium Extensions to have settings (I can already do settings but they are wiped each time when the extension is updated I think) I will make a setting for the extension to make the extension smaller
I will post that miniature version of the extension here (on this reply) with its own updater
Here is the mini version of the App, is still on the toolbar but the size has been dramatically reduced only having the logo and unread emails in the inbox as a number in brackets. NO TEXT.
@ Stagma's post below: you couldn't have a dropdown for a bookmark anyways. ........
Tell me what you think, and if you like it I will post it on the 1st post on this Thread.
I will attempt to make a bookmark version soon (next day or two) I'll post on this thread every so often (1-2 a day depending) on how it is (or isn't) going
Thanks,
Oliver
