Hello all, I hope you remember me! Im that kid who wants to make fun extensions....Well I got decently far into me "Tamagotchi" extension.....Then I left html/javascript to get and start learning some 6502 on the side, that turned to take some time since now I am going to have a game out hopefully by mid-summer ⌐.⌐ But anyway, I am decently far into it, got alot of main stuff done now it's just adding stuff and tweeking. I have one pet right now, a cat, 4 stats, and a feed button just to prove that I can make buttons.

What it does:

Drops all those variables down slowly/fast

No more foodzzz only shows up when you try to stuff it, that space will be the area where the pet communicates with you.

Has some statistics programming in it already.

Some other stuff it's hard to say everything.....


What needs added:

More options to the options page.

2 more things to take care of would be nice.

good pets, unlike my MS Paint cat ^_^

People to play it T.T



I'll upload it when I get home to my webs, it is coming along okay though I hope have it done soon/early summer, that'd be a nice time to get it done but no promises at all :P

Edit: Okay here's the game, I know.....I am going to start re-writing it now since I have it mostly done, but the way the Javascript works is total crap, It needs a rewrite....And more/better pictures :P

Actually added a unpacked zip file....I am going to rewrite so that if it's the game it will only write to the screen the whole page once, then the game will only change the element, makes it alot easier to keep track of and quicker to run so....I need to get back into this stuff :P Haven't done any programming besides 6502 for a while :/

It'd be kind of neat if you had it take advantage of the extension environment more as opposed to it just being a pop-up.
Say, you could have the little kitty as the actual icon for the Browser Action, that animated sometimes, and used the badges to meow for attention, or complain when he's hungry (which that part at least, looks like you're doing), or leave to go play on your pages or something (that'd be particularly neat, like eSheep ^^).
Cause a game extension that's just a separate page doesn't really need to be a browser extension, right? :P
Good luck though I'm sure it can turn out really neat.

I'd be up for it. One reason why I didn't make it like that is because I have no image software except for paint, but that barely counts.


So maybe even have it run out onto the page? Hmmm thats a very interesting idea ^_^

Yeah I guess your right, I am spending too much time on the details, I need swap up some program from my 2nd rewrite, as my rewrite looks less fancy by a mile, and is just a code cleanup....


If anyone would like to animate it and that, I'd definitely be up for it....I'm gona try to actually *gulp*.....finish it this weekend, as in make a whole new background and main page as I got the main page's look done I just need to add the functionality....I rarely get to work on this because I'm only 16 and in school alot, and the good computer with chrome my mom usually takes and won't let me have XD

Also keep in mind after I get past the development, adding new "pets" take like....5 seconds each XD So you'd have to have lots of animations for the different ones because I was planning on more then 1 pet :/

You could still do more than one pet. ;P
Also for images this small I'd suggest a nice pixel editor like http://mtpaint.sourceforge.net/
