I'm using Windows XP & Google Chrome 3.0.195.38. I just downloaded the Chrome compatible version of Free Download Manager 2.5 Build 758 & would like to know how to make it the default downloader. Firefox made it very easy to add plug-ins & add-ons but Google didn't, as far as I can tell.

my version of Free Download Manager is 3.0 build 871;
sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't work with my Chrome 4.0.266.0

have you check the options in FDM ?
I am not sure whether Stable Chrome is supported

I just installed the latest & greatest version of Chrome 4.0.249.78
I've never found anything in FDM to make it the default downloader, ( including looking thru its' help filles) and when I asked FDM their reply was to download the latest version, which I did; altho I just noticed I haven't installed it.
I'm going to install & see it if there's any obvious way to make it the default downloader. FireFox makes it very easy to do so.

Make Free Download Manager for my default download manager in chrome

Install the extension from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...gjaiojdjhojand then open the options (after installation) and choose free download manager and lower down that page, under Integration mode settings - check the box belowUse left click to download(First line is extensions, second line is Javascript Regexs, all those separated by ",".) Save and close. You should get FDM options for downloads
