Wink [New Ext] Alexa Rank Display

GO TO NEMROD.SE FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION!

This extension simply gets the Alexa stats page for the site open in the current tab and extracts the so-called Alexa Rank from it. Upon clicking the extension in the toolbar you are taken to the Alexa stats page for the site where you can get more detailed information.

    Extension information:
    Extension: Alexa Rank Display
    Latest version: v1.2
Download link: http://nemrod.se/chrome/alexarankdis...ankdisplay.crx (you may need to clear your cache)
Description: Displays the Alexa Rank of the site open in the current tab in the toolstrip.
Browser compatibility: Chrome dev build over version 4.0
    Features:
    • Width adapts to length (marketing built-in features as one's own <3)
    • Relatively fast, even though it has to get a page and extract with regexp
    • Gets the rank on tab switch as well as tab update (changing page in the current tab)
    • Upon clicking on it you are taken to the Alexa stats page.

    Screenshots:

Wow. Google Search has got 1 and I've got over 6 million.

    Revision history:
    Version 1.0: Initial release. [13:10, 2009-08-03]
Version 1.1: Fixed so the text is aligned vertically (no more misaligning like in the screenies). [13:20, 2009-08-03]
Version 1.2: Fixed tab API permissions and so that you're taken to the Alexa stats page on click. [18:41, 2009-08-18]

I tested this extension today, its good, but when clicking on the extension button its taking me to your website. I would ideally like it to go to the siteinfo page on alexa. For example :

When you browse our website :
    http://www.chromeplugins.org
The alexa shows the rank, and when clicking it should take me here :
    http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/chromeplugins.org

If you can do this then it would be more beneficial i guess as a "Seo Toolbar"

Makes sense. It was like that from the pagerank extension, didn't think of changing it. There isn't really any place to go when clicking that one, except maybe the analytics page. I think I'll change this to alexa and PR to analytics.
Not right now though, later today or tomorrow.

I've changed so it takes you to the Alexa page, also fixed the manifest to work with the newest Chrome dev build (4.xxx).
